Windows are also useful when you are waiting for help. Be sure to keep the door closed. Or smoke and fire may be drawn into the room. Keep your head low at the window to be sure you get fresh air rather than smoke that may leaked(渗) into the room.

听第一段对话,回答第6至第8小题

M: Hello, Mary. You are getting ready for tomorrow’s lesson, aren’t you?

W: Yes, I’m a bit nervous. I have no idea what’ll happen in class and how I’ll get along with my

classmates.

M: I understand how you are feeling. Just take it easy. You will make a lot of new friends very

soon.

W: Thank you. I’ll try my best to get used to my new school life as soon as possible. By the way,

what time does the first class begin?

M: At 8 clock. But before that we have 10 minutes to hand in homework and then 20 minutes for

W: So, what are we going to take with us in our class?

M: Well, I don’t know what the weather is going to be like. If it rains, we’ll need all this

waterproof clothing.

W: But if we take all that, there won’t be the space for anything else. Why are you packing that? M: If we don’t have a map, we’ll probably get lost.

W: Don’t worry. If I bring my GPS, we’ll know exactly where we are at all times. What about

food?

M: I usually take tins and boxes of food when I go on a trip like this.

W: Good idea. If you carry the food in your boat, I’ll pack both the sleeping bags in mine.

M: Maybe that’s not such a good idea. If something happens to one of us, then the other person

either won’t have any food or won’t have a sleeping bag. W: Well, hopefully that won’t happen if we’re careful. 三.听独白,回答问题

Time flies! The High School Entrance Examination is coming. In the past years, we were not surprised to find that the parents were waiting out side of the school gate while testing. Under the sun, they were really hot.

For this, different people have different ideas. Some may think the parents are great, while some hold the opposite opinion. However, I think it is unnecessary to do that. First, it can disturb the students. When the student think of parents outside, they can’t concentrate on the paper. Then, after testing, parents always ask about how students feel about the test, but they don’t know it makes children unhappy. Last, waiting under such big sun makes parents feel not well.

Generally speaking, a clean and quiet environment is quite important for testing students. Parents don’t need to wait outside.
