摘要：In a system in which a database process among processes of a computer isoffloaded to one or more hardware circuits, each of which comprises a memory, thecomputer divides a column store database, which is configured of a plurality of recordsand a plurality of columns, into a plurality of data segments. One or more columns of theplurality of columns are respectively one or more columns to be compressed. Each of theplurality of data segments comprises: a column store database portion which isconfigured of one or more records of the plurality of records; and a compressiondictionary, which is a dictionary which is used in expanding one or more of the columnportions to be compressed among said column store database portion. In each of theplurality of data segments, the size of the compression dictionary is less than or equal tothe size of the memory.
