摘要：A process and apparatus for the electrochemical pickling of ferrous and othermetal wires is disclosed. The process, which is particularly suitable for high-carbon steel
wires, involves the application of a low voltage alternating current to the wires in apickling bath containing a selected electrolyte. The frequency of the current is modifiedas compared with mains frequency, the modification depending on the nature of theelectrolyte. The wave-form of the current may also be modified and a suitable directcurrent may be superimposed.
