摘要： According to a method of fabricating a preform made of carbon fiber, forexample for the manufacture of a friction disc, a compressible body of carbon fiber orcarbon fiber precursor material undergoes the compression means action whichcompress said body to a required thickness, and then the body undergoes the action ofmeans such as needling barbed needle or stitching thread that passes through
substantially the entire thickness of the body, the compressed preform may be removedfrom the action of the compression means in an independent and compressed state. Ifthe method utilizes carbon fiber precursor material, the latter is then subjected tocarbonization.
