Getting to Know the World Outside the Campus
With the development of our society, the campus no longer be an “Ivory Tower”. It is necessary for college students to go outside to get to know the world. They should acquire knowledge not only from the society. Thus they can adapt to society more quickly after they graduate from school. Science and technology are developing rapidly with each passing day. Most students can keep themselves informed by watch TV, listening to the radio, reading newspapers and using computers. It’s also good to take a part-time job, such as tutoring, or working in a restaurant. Any of these methods will enable students to get in touch with society.
Summer vacation will soon be here. I’ve already enrolled to be a volunteer to
help others. I think I can do well. Although I won’t be paid, the most important thing is I can learn a lot about society.

Reading Selectively Or Extensively
Some think that when we read we should read selectively. That is to say, we should select some books we are interested in and ignore others. Reading selectively can help us concentrate our limited time and attention on those selected books.
Some others think when we read we should read extensively. That is to say, no matter what kind of book it is, we should look it over, Reading extensively can help us enlarge our view and grasp the general knowledge from different fields.
In my opinion, the tow reading methods have their roles respectively in our reading. However, their own disadvantages are easy to see. If we only read selectively, the framework of our knowledge may not be complete; if we read extensively, we may not have so much time and energy and be specialized in one particular field. Therefore, the combination of the methods is more reasonable.

Do “Lucky Numbers” Really Bring Good Luck?
Some think certain numbers may bring good luck. These numbers include “4,8,9” and so on. Therefore, when they want to choose a car number or a phone number, they are included to choose the number which end with these lucky numbers.
In my opinion, there is no relations between the so-called lucky numbers and luck. It is merely a superstitions belief. The only key to success or wealth lies in hard
work. It is really ridiculous to believe in those numbers and buy it at a higher price as phone number or car number. If we are too dependent on it, we may become lazy or easily discouraged when these numbers proved to be useless. We should believe in our own effort to strive for the success.

2. 面试者可以向应试者介绍情况，如工作性质、条件、待遇等。
3. 应试者也有机会给对方留下一个好的印象，如可以表现出自信心，可以介绍教育背景、工作能力等。
Advantage of a Job Interview
Now, when a person is hunting for s job, there will always be a job interview and I think the job interview has a lot of advantages. The interviewer and the interviewee can know about each other from it.
First, the interviewer can tell something about the job to the interviewee such
as the salary, the work conditions and something else that is relevant to the job. Then the interviewee can decide whether the job is really suitable for him.
Second, I think the job interview is a good chance for the interviewee to show both his ability and confidence. Then the interviewer can figure out whether he is the right person for the job.
In a word, I think the interview will do good to both the interviewer and the interviewee. By an interview the interviewer can find a suitable person if both of them make the best of the job interview.

Can Money Buy Happiness
Some think that money is source of happiness. Once they have money, they
will enjoy everything. They can use the money they have to buy a car, a beautiful house or even a wife.
Some others think that money is the roof of all evil. Due to the greed for money, people will do various kinds of evil things, such as stealing, robbing or even murder. Money can easily change a kind, honest man into a cruel, cunning one.
In my opinion, both of the above-mentioned viewpoints go to an extreme. Money it self is neither good nor evil. It all depends on how we look at it. We can not deny the importance of money in the modern society. Meanwhile, we should not ignore the fact that something can not be bought by money, such as friendship, true love and so on.
