摘要：In a video decoding device, a system decoding section (13) analyzes headerinformation included in multiplex data and performs various operations, including theseparation of data, on the basis of the header information. An STC (System Time Clock)counting section (14) generates, based on an SCR (System Clock Reference)/PCR(Program Clock Reference) which is time reference data included in the multiplex data, asystem clock SCK synchronous to the system clock of a coding device. A video decodingsection (16) decodes video data included in the multiplex data in response to the systemclock (SCK). Also, the video decoding section (16) generates a clock for video displaysynchronous to the system clock (SCK) and outputs the decoded video data in responseto the clock for video display. The decoding device may additionally include an audiodecoding section (15) for decoding audio data included in the multiplex data in responseto the system clock (SCK), generating a clock for audio output and synchronous to thesystem clock (SCK), and outputting the decoded audio data in response to the clock foraudio output. The decoding device obviates frame slipping and other errors even whenthe clock of an input system, i.e., the coding side and the clocks for representation at the
decoding side are different in frequency from each other.
