摘要：An LED illumination device for vehicle use includes an LED lamp a circuit forsupplying a current to the LED lamp from a power supply mounted on the vehicle, and acurrent control unit for controlling the current supplied to the LED lamp so as to beinversely proportional to the environmental temperature of the LED lamp In this manner,
in the current supply circuit, an LED chip is coupled to the collector of a common-emittertype transistor The current control unit includes a PTC thermistor and the PTCthermistor is coupled to the base of the transistor whereby a current supplied to thebase is made small when the temperature of the PTC thermistor becomes high. The PTCthermistor is placed in a circumstance where the temperature thereof becomes same asthe environmental temperature of the LED chip at the time where the LED chip is in anOFF state.
