摘要：A security system may include a home security system that is connected to aremote monitoring service as well as a portable security device that can travel with an
individual when they are away from home. The portable security device may communicatewith the same monitoring service as the home security system, and may in fact be linkedto the same user account as that used for their home security system. The home securitysystem may thus be extended to cover a remote location. In some cases, occupants of anindividual's home may be notified via the home security system of alert conditionsdetected by the portable security device at the remote location. Likewise, occupants ofthe remote location may be notified via the portable security device of alert conditionsdetected in the home by the home security system.
