Like many other countries, China has a lot of social problems. Here are four main social problems in China: 1. Medical treatment:
Almost everyone will get diseases in his long life, so medical treatment is one of the most important parts for us. But the medical treatment in China is really serious and it is even the most serious social problem.
Many people say “It’s so hard to go to hospital” or “It’s so expensive to go to hospital”. Though China is developing fast in economy, the medical treatment is one of the worst countries all over the world. To this result, a large amount of population and the lack of mechanisms are the main reasons.
In a research, 11.8% of the personal revenue is paid in medical treatment, even higher than it is paid in education, clothes and food. So how serious! Many people in China are not satisfied with the service and the price of the hospital so that when they are ill, some of them don’t want to go to hospital. This causes another problem. The people’s health is poor and it has an effect on their work and study immediately.
And hospitals also distribute unevenly in China. There a few hospitals in villages so that the problem in villages is worse than it is in towns or big cities. 3. Employment:
Because of the large population, employmental problem is also very serious. There are a few new jobs for people but there are many students who just graduates from the college. So as the result, many people lost their jobs and many young people can’t find the proper jobs. They have to wait at home and ask their parents for help. Later they may become lonely and sad. Some people who see this think it useless to go to collage and even they don’t want to learn any knowledge. This is more terrible!
4. Gap between the poor and the rich
Now there is a widespread concern(广泛关注) in china over the widening gap between the rich and the poor. We are surprised to learn that a pop singer can make over a hundred thousand Yuan for one performance overnight, while it may take an average farmer his lifetime to earn that much.
The cause lies in three aspects. First, the gap is the result of the economic reform(经济改革). Some seize the opportunities and become millionaires by working hard and meanwhile the slow development in agriculture hinders(阻碍) the farmers from raising their living standards.
Second, the current distributing(分配)of income is not scientific and reasonable, thus widening the income difference.
Third, while most make money honestly, there are some dishonest(不诚实) businessmen and government officials who have accumulated large fortunes by illegal(违法的)ways.
All above are four main social problems in China I think, and I hope that they can be
all solved soon so that our country will develops fast and all we Chinese will have a better life.
